Setting Up Your PTO Page
Create and configure your PTO's public page.
This is the real starting point for everything else a PTO leader does here — your PTO page, your officer roster, and the launchpad to Membership, Payments, Events, and Forms all live in one place once it's set up.
Before you start: get approved as a PTO Officer
You need to be a verified PTO Officer for your school first. See How to Claim Your School's Page for the general verification process. One thing worth knowing: a PTO Officer request specifically is always reviewed by a site administrator, not by another PTO leader at your own school — every other role request (PTO Member, Teacher, Coach, Staff) can be approved locally, but Officer requests can't self-approve.
Setting up the page itself
- From your school's page, click Create PTO Page (or Edit Your PTO Page if one already exists).
- Add your PTO's name, mission statement, and a description families will see.
- Add your meeting schedule so families know when and where meetings happen.
- Save the page.

Your PTO leader command center
Once your PTO page exists, the same edit screen gives you quick links to everything else you'll need:
- Open Membership Manager — set membership types/pricing, review your roster, and verify manual payments. See Collecting Membership Dues and Donations.
- Payment Settings — connect Stripe, PayPal, or a manual payment method your PTO accepts. See Setting Up Payment Gateways.
- Forms & Submissions — build and collect responses to custom forms (permission slips, interest forms, etc.).

From here you're ready to build your board (Building Your PTO Board), post news, and create events.
