Listing Your Business

Your business listing is what families searching or browsing the local directory actually see.

Before you start: Business Owner approval

Creating your first listing requires approved Business Owner status, so the community can trust listings are run by a real, confirmed owner. Request it from Account → Schools — a site administrator reviews it, usually within a few business days.

The basics

1. From My Businesses, click Add a Business.
2. Enter your Business Name, Category (and optional Subcategory).
3. Write a Description, what Services / Products you offer, and an optional Special or Discount for School Families.

Contact, delivery, and social links

1. Add your Phone, Email, and Website.
2. Restaurant or food business? Add your Uber Eats, Grubhub, or DoorDash links so visitors can order directly.
3. Add any social links you use — Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn.

Location

1. Enter your Address, City, State, and ZIP.
2. Service-area business with no storefront? Use Service Area instead (for example, "Within 15 miles").
3. Add Latitude/Longitude if you want your listing to show on the map.

Logo and cover image

1. Upload a Logo.
2. Upload a Cover Image — any size works, but 1200×400px looks best.

Schools you support

1. Search and add every school your business supports under Schools You Support.
2. If you support more than one, choose a Primary School — this is the one your annual directory renewal is billed against.

Hours

Set your regular weekly hours (or mark a day Closed or Open 24h), plus an optional Hours Note. You can also add one-off Special Hours for a specific date (holiday hours, early closing, etc.), or mark the whole listing Temporarily Closed with an optional reason and return date.
