Inviting Staff and Families to Your School
Create shareable invitation links and QR codes to connect people to your school.
/school-invites/{your-school-slug}, linked from your school’s page.School Invitations are shareable links or QR codes that connect a new account to your school — the fastest way to bring on parents, teachers, or staff who don’t already have an account here.
Before you start
You need to be your school’s School Manager, a PTO Officer at your school, or a staff member specifically granted the invitations permission — see Managing Staff Permissions.
Creating an invitation
- Make sure School Invitations are toggled Enabled for your school.
- Fill in a Label so you can tell invitations apart later.
- Optionally check specific Allowed Membership Type(s) — leave all unchecked to allow any type.
- Optionally set an Expires date, a Max Uses limit, and any internal Notes.
- Click Create Invitation.

Each invitation gets its own QR code, a short Code, and a shareable Link with a one-click Copy button. You can Disable/Re-enable an invitation at any time, or click Regenerate Code (with a confirmation) to kill the old link and issue a new one — useful if a code was shared somewhere you didn’t intend.
An invitation only ever grants a relationship to your school — parent, teacher, or staff. It never grants a leadership role like School Manager or PTO Officer; those always go through the claim-and-verify process instead. See How to Claim Your School’s Page.
