Setting Your School Year and Holiday Calendar
Override the site’s default school year and holiday dates for your school specifically.
These two tabs control the calendar your school’s page displays — either your school’s own dates, or the site’s shared default.
Setting your school year
- Open the School Year tab.
- Choose a Start month/day and End month/day for your school’s own calendar.
- Click Save This School’s Calendar.
Changed your mind? Click Use Site Default Instead to fall back to the sitewide school year dates.
Setting holidays
The Holidays tab lists each holiday on the calendar. For each one, choose Use default, Closed, or Open from its dropdown — the choice saves itself as soon as you change it, there’s no separate Save button on this tab.

Use this when your school’s calendar genuinely differs from the rest of the site — for example, a different winter break, or a holiday your school stays open for.
